Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes

Ingredients
  

Pupcakes

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or vegetable oil *use whichever oil your vet recommends for your pet
  • 1 large egg

Frosting

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter

Instructions
 

Pupcakes

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350°F. Line the cupcake or mini cupcake pans with liners or spray with baking spray.*
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking soda.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the bananas, honey, peanut butter, oil and egg until smooth.
  • Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  • Spoon the batter into each cup of the pan, filling about halfway.
  • Bake 20-22 minutes for regular cupcakes and 10-12 for mini cupcakes, or until a tester comes out clean.*

Frosting

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and peanut butter.
  • Frost each pupcake with a frosting spatula.

Tips

  • *If using liners, remember to remove before serving to pet.
  • *To test the doneness of the pupcake, insert a toothpick or thin knife into the center and remove. If the toothpick or knife is clean of batter, then it is done.
  • Store the pupcakes in the freezer to make them last longer. Defrost before serving to pet.
