Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes

Ingredients
  

Pupcakes
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or vegetable oil *use whichever oil your vet recommends for your pet
  • 1 large egg
Frosting
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter

Method
 

Pupcakes
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350°F. Line the cupcake or mini cupcake pans with liners or spray with baking spray.*
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the bananas, honey, peanut butter, oil and egg until smooth.
  4. Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into each cup of the pan, filling about halfway.
  6. Bake 20-22 minutes for regular cupcakes and 10-12 for mini cupcakes, or until a tester comes out clean.*
Frosting
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and peanut butter.
  2. Frost each pupcake with a frosting spatula.
Tips
  1. *If using liners, remember to remove before serving to pet.
  2. *To test the doneness of the pupcake, insert a toothpick or thin knife into the center and remove. If the toothpick or knife is clean of batter, then it is done.
  3. Store the pupcakes in the freezer to make them last longer. Defrost before serving to pet.
