After going blueberry picking over the weekend, we had a ton of blueberries, and I knew I had to make something special for Ollie. In this summer heat, there is nothing better than ice cream. And, Ollie loves ice cream just as much as I do. Like mother like pup.
I love making him a healthier ice cream with a base of banana and yogurt. The addition of the blueberries makes it extra special. I hope your pup enjoys this recipe as much as Ollie!
Blueberry Dog Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 bananas fresh or frozen
- 1 1/2 cups plain greek yogurt
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend.
- Pour into a freezer safe airtight container and freeze for a few hours.
- Once frozen and ready to serve, you may need to let the container rest on the counter for about 10 minutes to slightly thaw. Then scoop and serve.
